EEOC To Start Collecting 2022 EEO-1 Data in Mid-July

April 19, 2023

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will begin collecting 2022 data for the mandatory EEO-1 report in mid-July. The deadline for submitting EEO-1 data has not yet been announced.

The starting and ending points for EEO-1 data collection have varied over the past few years, making it difficult for employers to stay on top of this mandatory reporting process.

The EEO-1 report applies to:

  • Private sector employers with 100 or more employees
  • Federal contractors with 50 or more employees

If you fall into one of those two categories, you must collect and submit workforce data on employee head count, race/ethnicity, sex and job categories. This data is due each year.
